Former U.S. President Donald Trump has ignited a firestorm of controversy with his recent comments suggesting a future administration would prevent Palestinian refugees from returning to Gaza. The remarks, made during a private gathering with donors, outline a hardline approach that would effectively bar displaced Palestinians from reclaiming homes in the war-torn territory as part of his vision for Middle East stability.  

The proposal has drawn swift condemnation from Palestinian leaders and human rights organizations, who argue it violates international law and the fundamental right of return for families displaced since 1948.
