Kejriwal Accuses BJP of "Hooliganism," Launches Digital Campaign as Delhi Polls Heat Up

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing it of resorting to "hooliganism and intimidation tactics" ahead of the high-stakes Delhi Assembly elections. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener kicked off a fierce social media campaign, #BJPHooliganismExposed, to counter what he calls "the BJP's dirty tricks department."

At a press conference on Thursday, Kejriwal claimed BJP workers had disrupted AAP's door-to-door campaigns, torn posters, and even threatened local volunteers in several constituencies. "They can't fight us on development, so they're using goons to scare our workers," he alleged, sharing videos of purported BJP supporters vandalizing AAP property. "Delhi wants honest politics, not bullying."

The BJP swiftly denied the allegations, with Delhi unit chief Virendra Sachdeva dismissing them as "baseless drama." "Kejriwal is inventing excuses because he knows AAP is losing ground after failing to deliver on promises," Sachdeva countered. Meanwhile, the AAP's digital offensive has gone viral, with supporters flooding platforms with hashtags like #DelhiRejectsGundaraj and memes contrasting Kejriwal's school reforms with BJP's "rowdyism."

Political analysts note the social media blitz mirrors AAP's successful 2020 strategy but faces tougher scrutiny now. "Voters want solutions for pollution and infrastructure, not just mudslinging," said commentator Asim Ali. With polling months away, the digital battleground may prove decisive in India's most-watched state election.
