D.V.S. Narayana Raju Assumes Leadership as CII Visakhapatnam Zone Chairman

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Visakhapatnam Zone has ushered in a new era of leadership with the appointment of distinguished industrialist D.V.S. Narayana Raju as its Chairman. The transition took place during a ceremony attended by prominent business leaders, marking a significant moment for the region's industrial landscape.  

Raju, currently Managing Director of a leading infrastructure development company, steps into this pivotal role with an impressive track record spanning more than twenty years in corporate leadership and project execution. His deep understanding of industrial growth dynamics and commitment to sustainable development make him particularly well-suited to guide Visakhapatnam's business community through its current phase of rapid expansion.  

Expressing his vision for the term, Raju emphasized the importance of creating synergies between industry and academia. "Visakhapatnam stands at the threshold of tremendous economic potential," he stated. "Our focus will be on fostering innovation, enhancing skill development, and positioning the city as a model of environmentally conscious industrial growth."  

The outgoing Chairman, Ramesh Kumar, reflected on the zone's achievements during his tenure, particularly in supporting local businesses through pandemic challenges. "I leave with confidence knowing the zone is in capable hands," Kumar remarked, praising Raju's strategic thinking and hands-on approach to problem-solving.  

Raju's appointment comes at a critical juncture as Visakhapatnam attracts significant investments across multiple sectors, including pharmaceuticals, port logistics, and renewable energy. His immediate plans include establishing specialized skill development centers, creating platforms to connect local MSMEs with global markets, and organizing a major industry conclave to showcase Visakhapatnam's potential to national and international investors.
