Crazxy Movie Review: Sohum Shah Carries This Uneven Thriller That Falters at the Finish Line

Sohum Shah proves once again why he's one of Bollywood's most compelling actors in Crazxy, a thriller that keeps you hooked until its disappointing final act. The film starts strong, with Shah delivering a magnetic performance as Vikram, a morally conflicted lawyer whose life spirals into chaos after a series of bad decisions. His ability to convey complex emotions with subtlety elevates what could have been just another crime drama into something more intriguing.

The supporting cast shines too, particularly Vijay Raaz in a scene-stealing cameo that provides much-needed dark humor, and Pooja Gor as Vikram's increasingly disillusioned wife. For the first hour and a half, director Harsh Vardhan keeps the tension taut, weaving together elements of crime, family drama, and psychological thriller with impressive control. The cinematography creates a suitably gritty atmosphere, and Amit Trivedi's score amplifies the suspense effectively.

But just when the film should be building to a powerful climax, it stumbles. The carefully constructed tension gives way to predictable plot twists and a resolution that feels both rushed and unconvincing. It's particularly frustrating because the setup promised so much more - what begins as a smart, character-driven thriller ends up relying on tired tropes.

While the weak ending diminishes the overall impact, Crazxy remains worth watching for Shah's outstanding performance and the strong first two acts. It's the kind of film that shows tremendous potential, making its eventual missteps all the more disappointing. For fans of psychological thrillers, there's enough here to appreciate, but you might leave wishing the filmmakers had stuck the landing as well as they set up the story.
