Heart Stopping Rescue Operation in Kota as 5 Year Old Boy Trapped in 32Ft Borewell

A 5-year-old boy fell into a 32-foot deep borewell on Sunday in an agricultural area of Jhalawar district, Rajasthan, leading authorities to initiate a rescue operation.

As reported by the police, the incident took place around 1:15 PM while Prahalad was playing in the field. He allegedly sat on a stone slab adjacent to the borewell and lost his balance, falling in while his parents were occupied on the opposite side of the field.

Currently, Prahalad is trapped at a depth of 32 feet and is unconscious. Teams from the NDRF and SDRF are present at the scene.

"The NDRF and SDRF teams are actively working on the rescue. They plan to extract the boy using local machinery," stated SDM Chhatrapal Choudhary.

The boy's father, Kalulal, mentioned that the borewell was dug just two days prior. There was no water flowing from it, and they had intended to seal it, according to the SDM.

He also indicated that they were in the process of filling the borewell, making it unlikely for the boy to descend any further.

Additionally, four JCB machines have been deployed to assist in the rescue efforts.

A medical team is on-site, and oxygen is being provided to the boy through pipes, as noted by DSP Jaiprakash Atal.
