UP CM Extends Heartfelt Greetings on the First Amrit Snan of Maha Kumbh 2025

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conveyed his heartfelt wishes to millions of devotees on the auspicious occasion of the first Amrit Snan (holy dip) of the Maha Kumbh festival. As one of the most sacred events in Hindu tradition, the Maha Kumbh 2025 has drawn pilgrims, saints, and spiritual leaders from across the nation and the world to the holy city of Prayagraj.

In his message, the Chief Minister highlighted the spiritual significance of the Amrit Snan, calling it an opportunity to purify the mind, body, and soul. “The Maha Kumbh is not just a festival; it is a testament to the unity, devotion, and cultural heritage of Bharat. I extend my best wishes to all devotees undertaking this sacred journey,” he said.

Adityanath also assured that the state government has made elaborate arrangements to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of pilgrims. From upgraded infrastructure to enhanced security measures and round-the-clock medical services, significant efforts have been made to make the Maha Kumbh an enriching and seamless experience for all attendees.

The first Amrit Snan is considered particularly auspicious, with the belief that taking a dip in the holy waters on this day washes away sins and grants liberation. Early reports from Prayagraj indicate an overwhelming sense of devotion, with chants of “Har Har Gange” echoing along the ghats. Pilgrims, many of whom have traveled great distances, described the experience as deeply transformative.

The Chief Minister also emphasized the environmental importance of preserving the sanctity of the rivers, urging devotees to maintain cleanliness and respect the natural heritage of the Ganga and Yamuna.

As the Maha Kumbh unfolds over the coming weeks, the event is expected to host millions more, uniting people from diverse backgrounds in a shared spiritual quest. The state government’s efforts, combined with the faith and devotion of the pilgrims, aim to make Maha Kumbh 2025 a memorable celebration of India’s spiritual legacy.
