Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Lays Foundation Stone for New Osmania Hospital Complex, Promises Modern Healthcare for All

In a significant step towards bolstering healthcare infrastructure in Telangana, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy inaugurated the foundation stone for the new Osmania Hospital complex on Wednesday. The event, held at the existing hospital premises, was attended by government officials, healthcare professionals, and local residents, marking a milestone in the state’s efforts to provide accessible and modern medical facilities.

The new Osmania Hospital complex, slated to be built over the next three years, will feature state-of-the-art medical equipment, expanded patient care facilities, and specialized departments to cater to a wide range of healthcare needs. The project aims to address the growing demand for quality healthcare in Hyderabad and surrounding regions, while also preserving the legacy of the century-old institution.  

Speaking at the ceremony, CM Revanth Reddy emphasized the government’s commitment to improving public health services. “Osmania Hospital has been a pillar of healthcare for the people of Telangana for decades. With this new complex, we aim to transform it into a world-class medical facility that provides affordable and advanced treatment to all, regardless of their economic background,” he said.  

The new complex will include a 2,000-bed facility, advanced diagnostic centers, trauma care units, and dedicated wings for cardiology, oncology, and neurology. Additionally, the hospital will house a research and development center to promote medical innovation and training for healthcare professionals.  

The announcement has been met with widespread appreciation from citizens and healthcare workers alike. Dr. Anjali Rao, a senior physician at Osmania Hospital, expressed optimism about the project. “This is a much-needed upgrade. The current infrastructure is overburdened, and the new complex will not only ease the load but also enhance the quality of care we can provide to patients,” she said.  

Local residents, too, welcomed the move, citing the hospital’s historical significance and its role as a lifeline for thousands of families. “Osmania Hospital has been a savior for many of us who cannot afford private healthcare. The new complex will ensure that future generations have access to even better facilities,” said Ramesh Kumar, a resident of Hyderabad.  

The project is part of the state government’s broader vision to modernize healthcare infrastructure across Telangana. With the foundation stone now laid, the focus shifts to timely execution and ensuring that the new Osmania Hospital complex becomes a beacon of hope and healing for millions.  

As the ceremony concluded, CM Revanth Reddy urged all stakeholders to work together to make the vision a reality. “This is not just a hospital; it is a promise to the people of Telangana. A promise of health, hope, and a better future,” he declared.
