Kejriwal Alleges CBI Raid Plans at Manish Sisodia’s Residence Amid Ongoing Investigations

In a startling claim, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has alleged that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is planning to raid the residence of his deputy, Manish Sisodia, as part of the ongoing investigations into corruption charges. Kejriwal took to social media to express his concerns, accusing the central government of trying to intimidate and target his party leaders.

Kejriwal's statement comes after several rounds of questioning by the CBI, which has been probing the Delhi liquor policy case. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has been vocal in its defense of Sisodia, who serves as the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi and holds the education portfolio. Kejriwal has described the CBI's actions as politically motivated, alleging that the probe is an attempt to weaken his party’s growing influence.

"This is a clear case of vendetta politics. The BJP wants to suppress the voice of those working for the people of Delhi, and they are using the CBI for their own purposes," Kejriwal wrote, adding that Sisodia, known for his work in transforming Delhi's education system, has been a target due to his rising stature.

The CBI, which has been investigating the alleged irregularities in the formulation and implementation of the Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22, has yet to confirm or deny the reported plans for a raid. However, sources within the agency have suggested that the investigation is progressing with no immediate action being taken against Sisodia's residence.

Sisodia, who has denied any wrongdoing, has consistently maintained that the charges are politically motivated. He has also criticized the central government for its focus on him and his colleagues, instead of addressing critical issues affecting the nation.

The allegation of a raid has added to the already tense political atmosphere in Delhi, with both the AAP and BJP accusing each other of using government agencies for political gains. Political analysts believe that the outcome of this investigation could have a significant impact on the upcoming elections, as the rivalry between the AAP and BJP intensifies.

The situation continues to develop, with many in the city closely monitoring the ongoing investigation and any potential actions by the CBI.
