Mamata Banerjee expresses her desire to lead the INDIA bloc from West Bengal

Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal and leader of the Trinamool Congress

(TMC), has expressed her willingness to lead the INDIA bloc, an opposition alliance. She

believes she can manage this dual role while continuing as Chief Minister. Banerjee highlighted

her involvement in the alliance's formation and stated she could step in if current leaders

struggle.

Her comments come amid growing internal conflict within the bloc, which includes Congress and

the Left Front. She prefers to coordinate from West Bengal rather than leave her position. Supporters

from her party argue that her anti-BJP stance makes her a fitting choice for leadership, although

overcoming internal disagreements within the alliance poses a challenge.
