Nvidia and Reliance Industries have partnered to develop advanced AI computing infrastructure
Nvidia and Reliance Industries have announced a significant partnership
landscape by developing a robust AI computing infrastructure. This collaboration aims to support
and accelerate digital innovation across sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, and education,
positioning India as a potential global leader in AI.
As part of this partnership, Reliance will utilize Nvidia's cutting-edge computing technologies,
including the latest Grace Hopper Superchip and DGX Cloud, to enable large-scale AI models
and generative AI applications. This new infrastructure is expected to improve capabilities in
natural language processing and computer vision, specifically designed to meet the needs of
India’s vast and diverse population.
The AI infrastructure will be established in data centers throughout India, all powered by green
energy, in line with Reliance’s broader commitment to sustainability. Nvidia will supply the essential
hardware, software, and AI frameworks, while Reliance will leverage its telecommunications expertise
to ensure that the technology reaches various sectors and regions.
Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, emphasized that this partnership aligns with India’s
vision for digital transformation, particularly concerning economic inclusion and improved public services.
Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, noted that this collaboration has the potential to set new standards for AI
applications in emerging markets.
This strategic initiative comes as India’s tech ecosystem is experiencing rapid growth, and both Nvidia
and Reliance are eager to deliver AI capabilities tailored to the country's unique needs.
